If you ever go to Santa Monica, you should try Cha Cha Chicken! Best jerk sauce ever! Seriously!
Okay, now that I have convinced you…let me REALLY convince you. Cha Cha Chicken is walking distance to the famous Santa Monica Pier. It definitely doesn’t look like much….but once you sit down in their outdoor seating, listening to Caribbean music, sipping on some beer or fresh juice, and smelling spices in the air, it makes you forget that you are in LA.
The food is just what you think Caribbean food should be. Spicy, flavorful, and exotic. My husband and I would ride our bikes 30 miles to Cha Cha Chicken and back home, just to eat these jerk chicken enchiladas! Totally worth it!
They have a wide variety of food, quick service, and decent prices. Plus it is BYOB (bring your own beer)…which, of course, we did! Definitely one of those hole-in-the-wall places that you should try if you are in the area.
